Established circa 2004 from four track beginnings; vopat now expands into slow tempos, white noise, subtle melody, and searing distortion. Guitar driven post rock shite with ambient scapes and a penchant for atonal noise. There are five or so "official" limited releases(cdr). The "spines" full length, untitled ep, "sometimes it will" full length, a noise ep "calcutta", and the new ep "silhouette." Most of our cd's are being distributed by the fine folk at www.stickfiguredistro.com. Bobby may be the Yashua; vopat is for your listening. Thank you.

Thank you for being our friend! We love your style! We hope you are well. : )
Our song 'Winterplace' has received some special attention lately—having been included in a US national compilation CD promoting California Tan suntan lotion (interesting?), is included in the feature film Peculiarities which is currently on the film festival circuit, and is receiving airplay on Salt Lake City's X-96. Anyhow, we thought we would make this special edition release of Liberation available to our mySpace friends for a special price—$8.00 US. It has some bonus tracks and new artwork, and once the pressing of 100 is gone—it's gone! Visit summerhead.com for more details.
Fascinating. I enjoy the mix of ambient textures with straight ahead guitar, bass, and drums. I'm particularly enamored with Last On The Sun and the tripped out vibra-guitar on Calling Stops.
Thanks for finding and connecting with me,

Living with tension in muscles and tendons is a fact of life in our Time of Lies, Deception and Friendly Fire. You guys, though, befriend the tension, give it a bed to lie on so it can sleep with one eye open. If I were prone to opium den visits, I'd have Vopat in my head so I could enjoy the float but be aware enough to watch my wallet.
