VORTICE, nace en Enero del 2004 en Barcelona. Sus miembros proceden de bandas bien reconocidas a nivel estatal como Uziel [Underhill Records], Omegacinco [Goldstandardlabs] y Apnea.

Las directrices de la banda a nivel sonoro difieren de todo lo hecho anteriormente por sus componentes, acercandose mas a estilos musicales como el extreme metal, post metal o el math metal, combinando las diferentes influencias personales de cada uno de sus miembros. El sonido de Vortice es grueso, grave, pesado y complejo..

Es en enero del 2006 cuando VORTICE entra por primera vez en el estudio con la intencion de grabar 3 temas para uso promocional y poder a la vez pulir el sonido de cara a la futura grabacion de su álbum debut. Esta grabación fue realizada bajo la produccion de Iban Puigfel (The Unfinished Sympathy ) en los estudios Fundicio Musical del Barri en Hospitalet del Llobregat,. Iban, antiguo miembro de la banda y gran amigo, supo plasmar a la perfeccion el sonido del disco como si de un miembro mas de la banda se tratara.

Vórtice ha estado tocando en directo en cuidades como Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Ubeda, Bilbao, Oviedo o Donosti y ha compartido escenario con grandes bandas como Red Sparowes, Unsane, Maroon, Naerah, Moho, Another Kind of Death, El Paramo, Moksha, Adrift, y formó parte del último festival PRIMAVERA SOUND 2008 en Barcelona… Con el resultado de una gran aceptación y critica por parte de la audiencia.

Entre el 6 y el 20 de Abril del 2007, la banda se centró en la grabación de su primer larga duracion en los estudios The Room BCN de Barcelona con Gorka Dresbaj como productor y fue masterizado en los TailorMaid Studios de Suecia por Peter in de Betou (Meshuggah, Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Marduk, Nasum, Nine,...), el disco ha sido editado por el sello madrileño Holy Cobra Society Records, disponible desde el 10 de Enero 2008 y distribuido por PIAS / A NEW LABEL.

VORTICE was born in Barcelona on January 2004. Their members come from well-known Spanish bands like Uziel [Underhill Records], Omegacinco [Goldstandardlabs] and Apnea.

The band guidelines in a musical level differ from everything done before by their members, getting closer to other musical styles like Extreme Metal, Post Metal or Math Metal, mixing as well the personal influences from each of its members. Vortice’s sound is thick, low, heavy and complex.

Vortice went to studio for first time on January 2006 to record three songs for promotion and with the idea to improve their sound for their debut full length album. This recording session was produced by Iban Puigel (The Unfinished Sympathy ) at the Fundicio Musical del Barri in Hospitalet del Llobregat (Barcelona). Iban, former member of Vortice, understood perfectly the band sound with an amazing result.

Vortice has been playing live around Spain in cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Ubeda, Bilbao, or Donosti. They played with well-known bands like Red Sparowes, Unsane, Maroon, Naerah, Moho, Another Kind of Death, El Paramo, Moksha, Adrift, and played in the last edition of the PRIMAVERA SOUND festival un Barcelona... With great success within the audience.

Between the 6th and 20th of April 2007, the band went to studio to record their debut full length album that took place at the The Room BCN Studios in Barcelona, produced by Gorka Dresbaj and mastered at the TailorMaid Studios in Sweden by Peter in de Betou (Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Meshuggah, Marduk, Nasum, Nine,...). The record has been released by the Madrid label Holy Cobra Society Records on January 2008 and distributed by PIAS / A NEW LABEL.
