Vorticis was founded in 2003, by guitarist and songwriter, Kleiner Marra, in Belo Horizonte (Brasil). BH is well known by being the city that gave birth to Sepultura, one of the most well succeded Heavy Metal bands in the world. Vorticis has focused itself on the objective of doing a Heavy Metal characterized music, but with no intention to simply fit into a label, and remain stucked on it, but to have the right to move beyond this style, and to make use of other Heavy Metal influenced genres. In the beginning, the band had several line up changes. In 2008 Vorticis is estabilized as:
- Nienna: Female Vocals
- Kleiner Marra: Guitars and extreme vocals
- Rafael Porto: Guitars
- Filipe Duarte: Bass and Backing Vocals
- Fabrício Oliveira: Drums
Even though, only in 2008 Vorticis came to estabilish a good line up, the band has been working on it's own material since 2006. The band currently has up to 20 songs, ready to be executed, having the option to release a double album if it wished so. In the meantime, the band has released a 3 song demo/EP in 2007 simply called as "Forgotten". This EP was produced by "Marcos Amorim", former Rafael Porto's band fellow in "Drowned". "Forgotten" has been very well received by the local audience and brazilian Heavy Metal oriented press. Also brought the band, the chance to perform an opening act for "Shaman", in the band's hometown. "Shaman" is one of the most well succeeded Heavy Metal bands in Brasil, with an international reputation.
For 2009, Vorticis is planing to return to studio to record it's first "Full Lenght CD", which will probably contain 10 songs. If the CD will be released by a Record Company, or in the independent format, is something yet to be seen, but it's release is certain. After that, the band will go out on a Brazilian tour, which will include as much cities and states as possible.
£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!

The "Godfather Of Metal", who had interwievs wich such genre-legends like Paul Masvidal from CYNIC and Terence Hobbs from SUFFOCATION on his show, is now airplaying my songs!!! What an honor ... TRINITY is also being airplayed on "ZSentient MetalCast Radio" (www.myspace.com/zsentient.com) and I am still watching for mooooooooooooooore of this. Check out the blog for further information.
