VOSE (pronounced like "dose") was formed in 2003 - rising from the ashes of the collapsed grunge era, during the time of an ailing modern music scene comprised of aging boy bands and mediocre R&B singers. Rob Harvey (lead singer / guitarist) started with his acoustic guitar and forged a few modest songs, drawing inspiration from his grunge rock predecessors like super groups Nirvana and Pearl Jam and other lesser knowns such as Oleander and Caroline’s Spine. After mild solo success, Rob acquired the help of a good friend, Patrick Kitt (bass), and later a young drum phenom named Steve 'Berg. The newly formed three piece spent years honing their skills and crafting grunge rock anthems infused with elements from today's modern rock giants. They released a series of demos and the much-anticipated full length, "Fire," in 2007. In late 2008, Vose wanted to expand their sound and added Jeff Storm (lead guitar) to the line-up. Jeff brought new energy to the band's already solid sound and growing fan base and together started drawing inspiration and song composition from rock legends like Led Zeppelin and Hendrix, the soaring epic triads of contemporary musicians like ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead as well as the eccentricity of the Smashing Pumpkins. Riding an ever growing wave of momentum, they quickly released the 3-song "Lovers & Liars EP" to show the new direction of the band. Now teaming with new life and a collective wealth of new creativity, Vose has evolved from a mild mannered garage band to a savage rock and roll animal ready to take on the world.
