About me:

Vote Hemp is a national, single-issue, non-profit advocacy group founded in 2000 by members of the hemp industry to remove barriers to industrial hemp farming in the U.S. through education, legislation and advocacy. We work to build grassroots support for hemp through voter education, registration and mobilization, as well as defend against any new laws, regulations or policies that would prohibit or restrict hemp trade.

Industrial Hemp has thousands of uses, from paper to textiles to biodegradable plastics to nutrition. Each use has a series of benefits. For example, lets compare Hemp to Cotton: Hemp uses no fertilizers or pesticides (cotton is the largest agricultural chemical consumer in the world) Hemp requires little care and water Hemp is stronger, anti-microbial, and can filter UV rays; naturally Hemp Nutrition, on the other hand, has it's own plethora of benefits Both Hemp Oil and Seed are highly nutritious. The seed contains over 20% highly digestible protein The oil has extremely high levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids Both contain all 9 Essential Amino Acids.

Industrial hemp is the non-psychoactive, low-THC varieties of the Cannabis sativa plant. Hemp has absolutely no use as a recreational drug.

    If you live in Huron County or Tuscola County in Michigan we need your help.


    We need everyone who lives in those counties to contact State Representative Terry Brown and tell him you support Industrial Hemp.

    Mr. Brown has said he might support an Industrial Hemp bill but he doesn't believe there is support for it in his district.


    We need to make it LOUD and clear to him there is support for Industrial Hemp.
