A culimination of the most dynamic attributes of death, black, power, and symphonic metal. Tight rhythm guitar work incorporates classical melodies and memorable hooks complimented by ample amounts of shred guitar soloing. Symphonic elements complete the band's sound lending to the dark atmosphere and lyrical tone of the music.
Formed in the 2003, Vows in Ashes have gained a following in their home state of Texas with a barrage of melodic extreme metal. The band's sound embraces brutal technicality with sweeping melodic harmonies merging elements of classic metal, speed metal with black/death metal.
In 2005 Vows in Ashes released a two song demo entitled "Fallen Watchers" and played numerous shows throughout their home state of Texas. The band is currently finishing the recording of their first full length album entitled "Actus Reus" in Austin, TX
Lyrically, Vows in Ashes explore aspects of life, death, fantasy, despair, bitterness, darkness, and power. The band strives to challenge listeners to experience the power manifested in their music as they continue to gain fans and support worldwide.
