voxunion.com is media for progressive ideas: We host and support several online initiatives towards positive community outreach through media and education.
Voxunion media is run by a group of Washington DC based activist working to effect positive change in communities of color through media and education.
all Voxunion initiatives are independently funded and this initiative is a part of our commitment to meeting our goals by developing an independent media and activist network to further our agenda.
Our agenda is detailed in The "C.O.U.P.* Proclamation" and can be viewed at:

It has come to the attention of the National Black United Front (NBUF) - Houston Chapter, hip hop icon Professor Griff suffered the loss of his home in Atlanta, Georgia Monday night, February 11, 2007, while he was in New York to do a lecture. The house burned after an explosion caused by a gas leak.
He says 90% of his belongings - including his studio, books, cds, dvds, clothes, pictures and more were destroyed.
Professor Griff has had a close working relationship with NBUF and other organizations and individuals in Houston, being a major part of the success of the 10th Annual Sankofaa: Caravan to the Ancestors.

If you get a chance check out Saul Williams new joint, that is only online, Trent Reznor produced it. The New PE album is fantastic of course, and it comes with live DVD footage... oh yeah did you see that Sarah Silverman "black face" episode I don't know what the hell she was tryin to prove but that's not the way to do it, comedy can address serious issues but I never found black face funny in the past and I dont now....
Today is Why Ask Why Wednesdays. Send me a comment and ask me something you just have to know the answer to. It can be something simple, funny, or way out there...I don't care! :-)
Without Understanding there will never be Unity, my prayers go out to Mumia, Assata, and the Jena 6,Leonard Peltier and all those who are in the grips of injustice. Thank you Dr. Ball, and Vox union for allowing me to stand beside you against these struggles... "Peace, Unity, and equality, for all not a chosen few"
"The FBI and police threatened, instigated, and themselves conducted break-ins, vandalism, assaults, and beatings. The object was to frighten dissidents and disrupt their movements. In the case of radical Black and Puerto Rican activists (and later Native Americans [citation needed]), these attacks—including political assassinations—were so extensive, vicious, and calculated that they can accurately be termed a form of official 'terrorism." - The Church Committee
I noticed that for the most part we all worship different gods, we all worship god differently but for the most part we all agree on what is right, what is good, and share basic understanding of virtue, truth , and morals. However I think the real struggle that we have as humans is that no matter how much we agree on what is "GOOD" we never seem to be able to agree on what is "BAD". That seems to be the root to many struggles, war, and strife.
There's a "whites only tree" in Louissiana thats helping the roots of segregation thrive. Why isnt this being covered in the news? there's some good videos on you tube about whats going on.
"I got a list of demands written on the palm of my hands. I ball my fist and you're gonna know where I stand. We're living hand to mouth! You wanna be somebody? See somebody? Try and free somebody? I gotta list of demands written on the palm of my hands. I ball my fist and you're gonna know where I stand. We're living hand to mouth! Hand to mouth!" Saul Williams

The MLK celebration at FSU was amazing. From the stage I could see so many people from so many ages, gender, ethnicity, etc, and I just felt that even though the battle is not won, Martin Luther King has definitely helped us win so many battles. The movement is alive and it was refreshing to see and feel that at the celebration!
hey, thanks for the add. I'm organizing a free Mumia and Assata Shakur Campaign at Frostburg State University, Graduate with my major in sociology, political science with my minor in African American studies and then off to UCSC to pursue my masters and PHD, I want to thank Dr. Ball for inspiration and support.
