| About Voyager Project |
|
Voyager Project is a Christian progressive rock band from the the Staffordshire Moorlands. We play an eclectic range of music, ranging from pop to metal, but our primary influences come from progressive rock bands such as the Flower Kings, Spock's Beard, Yes, Toto, Dream Theater and Marillion. We are a band that believes in the importance of tunefulness and good songwriting, as well as energy and musicianship.
We like songs with good tunes and thought-provoking lyrics. We are not a band who will force our Christian faith on our listeners, rather we consider it an intrinsic part of our being and believe it pervades our musical output. We are inspired by our varying experiences, international literature and culture, mythology, science fiction and fantasy, art, technology, music and a whole lot more. We refuse to be a band who follows the current trends, and will not limit our musicality just to make music that is chart / radio friendly. We believe there is a market out there for music that has evolved beyond the lowest common denominator.
