Jesus Christ, My parents, Steve Taylor, St. Thomas Aquinas
About me: I hail from Troy, NY and currently live in Charlotte, NC. I'm a Grad Student at Southern Evangelical Seminary pursuing a masters degree (M.A.) in Philosophy and possibly a PhD after that. I hope to be a Professor, Writer, Teacher, and Apologist. My other passion is music. If I was not pursuing seminary I would be pursuing rock stardom. If not rock stardom, then I would want to be a maestro. If not music, then maybe a professional bass angler with my own fishing show...or a professional comedian.
My values include: absolute truth, justice, morality, individuality, reason, leadership, talent, minimalism, sarcasm, and toilet humor. I love thinking and I love to make people laugh.
I do not value legalism, relativism, "tolerance", materialism, consumerism, conformity, drama, political correctness, hangnails, potholes, traffic, cheap perfume, or any foul stench.
My spirituality is the center of my life, not just a category. I consider myself a disciple of Christ and my desire is to love and glorify God with all that I am. I value the truth of the Gospel and wish to defend the faith and equip those in need of Truth. I see Christianity as discipleship and community carried out in the Church for the purpose of God's Kingdom. I'm not perfect, I struggle, and everyday I come as I am to the Lord as someone who is desperate for His strength in my life.
Generally speaking, I'm an Evangelical Christian. Theologically, I adhere to Classical Theism. When it comes to apologetics, I favor the Classical approach. My philosophical methodology is Thomistic Moderate Realism.
I fear mediocrity, rats, insects, quicksand, tornadoes, clowns, Jaws, and Isaac from Children of the Corn.
Who I'd like to meet: Steve Taylor, Klayton (Celldweller), Stryper, Mr. Rogers, Jason Becker, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, Beethoven, Martin Luther, David Gilmour, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, Immanuel Kant, Jean-Paul Sartre, Bugs Bunny, Carl from Aqua Teen, My parents before I was born
