As a Jamaican ambassador of calypso and soca music, Byron Lee has departed from us on November 3rd, 2008 around 11:15am after five decades of solid musical contribution. He has not only left his legacy in Jamaica but also throughout the Caribbean and the rest of world. His professionalism, efficiency, vigor is worthy of emulation. Byron was a no nonsense individual and set high standards throughout the musical fraternity. He has left a body of music, which will immortalize his legacy. May his soul rest in peace.
