The Vinyl Preservation Society of Idaho (VPS Idaho) meets monthly to conduct Society business, socialize and enjoy vinyl music and related entertainment with other Society members and guests. Membership is free and open to all. Email info@vpsidaho.org for more information.

Monthly meetings are held at the Modern Hotel and Bar (1314 Grove St.) in downtown Boise's Linen District on the fourth Wednesday of the month (7 to 10 p.m.). Bring your records!

Regular Meeting Agenda:
7 to 7:30 p.m. — Social Gathering (mingling, buying/selling/trading, etc.)
7:30 to 8 p.m. — Society Business/Guest Speaker(s)
8 to 10 p.m. — Music Appreciation/Open Play.

VPS All Ages, a club for vinyl collectors under 21, meets every second Wednesday of the month (5 to 7 p.m.) at The Record Exchange, 1105 W. Idaho St. in Downtown Boise.

VPS Idaho organizes the annual Boise Record Show and Swap, held every November at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. (next door to the Modern).

The purpose of the Vinyl Preservation Society of Idaho is to preserve our vinyl music heritage by fostering active, all inclusive community building amongst the passionately interested and curious to promote enjoyment and education relating to vinyl records, record collecting, record playing and all associated matters of analog musicology regardless of listening tastes.

In other words, VPS Idaho is an independent social recreation enterprise dedicated to communal listening enjoyment.

We advocate the patronage of local, independent music stores who help support free-minded music lovers, including vinyl enthusiasts, in their communities.

VPS Idaho looks to serve as a model for other groups that wish to establish a Vinyl Preservation Society in their own community, in hopes of organizing and uniting a network of vinyl enthusiasts across the United States and internationally.

VPS Idaho DJs are available for hire for parties, fundraisers and other public and private events.
