The Virginia Quarter Horse Youth Association is a great program for our youth riders.. You get to meet other childern or teens your own age with the same hobby as you. The Youth has its own Youth board and we have a banquet at the end of each year. Our banquet is a fun time, we give out prizes to our Youth. We try to make it fun at the horse shows for our Youth team. Our Youth puts on a ton of fun fundraisers to raise money to enjoy ourselves.
We also have an Open Show Program for the Youth who have a Quarter Horse and do not show that much in the AQHA Shows. The Open Show Program is for Youth who show in 4-H, the local horse shows, rodeos, timed events, jumping and dressage. You have to be a member of the Virginia Quarter Horse Association in order to qualify for this program. At the end of the year we give out prizes. At the banquet the Queen (Samantha) is having a fashion show right after dinner. She needs models, so we are asking if the youth would like to be a model in her fashion show. The Meltons are bringing showmanship outfits and English outfits for the models to wear. All you would need to bring is your hat and boots. If you are interested in being a model in the fashion show please email Samantha to let her know your size. It should be a lot of fun. Thank you
