The band was formed in 2000 by Major and Blazsek in order to play some simple black metal songs in the vein of old school bands. As the years passed so became the music much more unique and complex with heavy electronic influences and experimental parts, plus strong visual effects in live shows. Until the April of 2006 Vortex functioned as a six-member group but at that time the two founder decided to continue as a duo due to several reasons. M joined the band as a live guitarist, so the line-up was complete and ready for making some entirely new music.
We're proud to finally present our second album "Tourments & Perdition", out on Holy Records next monday. Straight from the heart, mixing elements from Black-Metal, progressive and experimental styles, definitely a dark and pessimistic album.
