The second Saturday of March brings us the third installment of Amsterdam's freshest electro/fidget/house party TAFKAF.
Previously hosting Boy 8-Bit and the New Judas crew, TAFKAF #3 again presents an upfront lineup that can end only in mayhem. Special guest of the night is London's DUKE DUMONT.
In his –up to present- two years of international fame, Duke Dumont has released a number of seminal releases and remixes on Switch's Dubsided label and Tiga's Turbo Recordings, not to mention leaving hordes of astonished and elated clubbers in the wake of his djsets around the globe. And that's just a glimpse of what this blue-blooded fellow will be bringing for 2009.
In the club resident MENEER DE BEER will warm things up with some clapping avant-gardish party crackers. THE HEYKIDS DJS will hotbox the night till 'BAM with their voraciously jaw-dropping, booty-boppin' partymusic.
The bar is hosted by Hommeles, lovechild of otherwise platonic partners in crime HOMEWORK. These guys will hold the line with their sure to bang combination of suave Paris electro and dirty London Fidget. They've invited Little Sexmachine bombshell WANNABEASTAR! to make you bounce some more with the bestest fidget and Baltimore tunez. Resident MY LITTLE SOUNDSYSTEM rounds it all up with her cosmopolitan disco-eclecticism that'll make you go 'Ah!'

Saturday Febuary 14th, TAFKAF is very proud to present one of the hottest house/electro labels for 2009 in the Flex Bar. Since the summer of 2008, Helsinki-based New Judas has been kicking up huge amounts of dust with artists like HUORATRON and Le Corpse de Mince Francoise, Pets on Prozac and Les Gilettes, which has already resulted in a nomination for the upcoming NME awards and, recently, a showcase at this year's Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival.
Introducing a fresh, exciting strand of electro, the New Judas crew combine a clear vision on the future of electronic music with a playful, genre bending attitude. In inviting New Judas to the Flex Bar, TAFKAF re-asserts their pioneering status in the Dutch electronic music scene, besides being well on its way to becoming Amsterdam's favorite underground hotspot.
Zaterdag 31 JANUARI is alweer de derde editie van AMSTEREO in de Flex Bar, Amsterdam. Na succesvolle vorige edities zetten we de trend voort met wederom een gast uit Parijs. Ditmaal is het de beurt aan BOYS NOIZE RECORDS’ nieuwste aanwinst, DJEDJOTRONIC. Binnenkort released hij daar z’n eerste EP ‘Dirty And Hard’ waar nu al laaiend enthousiast op gereageerd wordt. Erol Alkan draait het nummer grijs, evenals 2 Many Dj’s en Boys Noize. Hij heeft een grote toekomst voor zich liggen en treedt bij Amstereo voor het eerst in Nederland op.
Daarnaast natuurlijk de vaste dj’s THE WALK & ROGERSEVENTYTWO en JACK DE LA. The Walk & Rogerseventytwo behoeven geen introductie meer. Als vaste gezichten bij letterlijk elk groot feest van 2008, zijn ze van plan komend jaar voort te zetten. Bekend van Rauw, Lowlands, Mysteryland, Soulwaxmas en Noorderslag zullen ze weer met hun eigenzinnige mix van Franse electro en house vooral het discogevoel laten doorklinken in hun sets. Die nieuwe ongekroonde prins van de Baile Funk en B’more sound, Jack de La uit Eindhoven, zal de avond laten knallen tot in de vroege uurtjes.
Dus kom die stijve modefeestjes van je af dansen in de Flex Bar en maak je klaar voor een avond vol goede muziek en pretentieloos losgaan!
