"This is probably one of the best things I've heard yet on this site...My only regret concerning this song is that it's so short."
"The vocalist is breathy and entrancing.... puts me in a very dreamy state."
"I am in love with the acoustic lead tone...whispery, reminiscent of Iron and Wine and Elliot Smith, with maybe a dash of Jack Johnson...definitely radio play, mass-appeal material, and definitely in the upper-echelons of the songs that are posted here on Garageband."

Vince Salamone is a 18-year-old self-taught, solo acoustic fingerstyle AND lyrical artist based out of Abingdon, Maryland.
Vince first learned of his love with the guitar when he was he was about 6 or 7 years old. He was watching one of his uncles play his acoustic guitar upside down, because he was left-handed, and the guitar was made right-handed. His uncle's extreme mastery of the fretboard (even though it was backwards) awed and amazed him...his view upon music would never be the same.
Vince didn't get his first guitar until he was about 10 years old. He saved up all his money to buy a decent beginner's guitar worth $90. With a few starter pointers from his brother Jeff and cousin Ed Lauer, both also acoustic artists, he was on his way to a healthy obsession with the guitar.
He began to play in his school's chapel band, gathering expierience by leading worship with his guitar alongside his long-time music teacher, Mrs. Pamela Byrnes.
Just around when Vince started high-school he began composing his own music and writing lyrics, the first of which was "The Genesis." He began playing open-mic's at local coffee houses and recieving rave reviews from his friends.
At one of these coffee houses he recieved his first exposure to a true fingerstyle artist, John Sawbriar. He manipulated the normal sounds of the guitar with slaps to the body and harmonic spots on the fretboard. From that point forward, Vince dedicated himself to mastering the harmonic aspects of the acoustic guitar.
Uncharacteristically setting the guitar back-down on his lap, Vince plays his instrumentals using two-hands, using techniques such as harmonic slapping, tapping, hammer-ons and pull-offs simulataneously.
Vince's first album, The Genesis, is named after what he believes to only be the start of his musical career of his God-given talents. It includes 10 vocal songs, and two instrumentals using his unique techniques.
