Manuscript Critiques:
Do you have a wonderful story, but need a second pair of eyes to look it over?

VS Grenier will look for grammar, spelling, setting, plot, character development, and much more.

Critiques are designed to help us become better writers. We all need our stories looked at by others who have experience in the writing world.

Testimonial:"I'm very glad VS Grenier had the time to look at my story. She provided very valuable insights and provoked me to think deeper about my approach. All in all, this story, and any I may write in the future, will be benefited by her expertise. I am pleased and challenged by her feedback and would suggest her critique service to anyone. She's not about boosting your ego. She's about helping you. And that she does well." -Dave Gregg

Testimonial:"Virginia has a keen eye for narrative flow. She caught some repetitive wordings that none of my other critiquers noticed. With her pointing them out, I was able to vary my phrasing, improving the pace and readability of the entire story." -Karina Fabian

MusicMUSIC IS THE BEAT OF LIFE.
You Should Be a Song Writer
You have the ability to evoke emotion, tell a story, and hook someone...
In a very small amount of words, perhaps with some deft rhyming.
Even if you can't write music, you can sure write compelling lyrics.
Lyrics so good, people will have them stuck in their heads!
Books
You Are An ENFJ
The Giver

You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.

You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.

About me:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Children help to keep you young and writing for them...even younger.

ABOUT THE WRITER:

VS Grenier is the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Stories for Children Magazine and SFC Newsletter for Writers. Grenier started Stories for Children Magazine, an E-zine for children 3 to 12 years old, because she wanted to share the wonderful World of Ink with children all over the world. She started the SFC Newsletter for Writers as an effective tool to keep writers on top of the writing game with timely articles, Market news, current contest, up coming writing workshops, and so much more.

In 2007, she was voted one of the Top Ten Editors by the Preditors and Editors Reader’s Poll and Stories for Children Magazine was voted one of the Top Ten Best E-zines of 2007 in Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry. Grenier also won Second place for your article, “Yes, Virginia, There IS a Santa Claus” in the Preditors and Editors Reader’s Poll for Best Nonfiction of 2007.

In addition to running Stories for Children (SFC), Grenier freelances as a children’s and teen’s author and offers her editorial and critique services to writers. She learned how to hone her writing skills at the Institute of Children’s Literature and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writer’s and Illustrators (SCBWI), Author’s Coalition, and Musing Our Children. Grenier also works for Halo Publishing International as a freelance editor. Her works include short stories, articles, and crafts for children along with newsletter articles for writers.

“Having others read what you have written and giving feedback not only makes you a better writer, but you start to understand how a well written story’s voice captures the reader, drawing them into your world of ink,” states VS Grenier.

A California girl at heart, she currently lives in Utah with her husband, their two children, and the family’s big fat cat, Speed Bump.

Grenier’s hobbies include: writing for children, reading, gardening, interior design, scrapbooking, camping, biking, and singing. She’s a big Harry Potter fan and has admitted to reading each book in the series seven times. She also loves “Lord of the Rings”, “The Hobbit” and the Fablehaven series. She continues to write books, articles, and short stories for children and teens, finding that it keeps her young. She still dresses up for Halloween and still believes in Santa Claus.
One thing that is very important to me is helping others. So how can I do that? By letting those who love to write for children know where to find the answers to questions or even where to begin.

I guess you can't take the California out of me! After living there most of my life...there are many things I do not miss. Traffic is one of them. But the beaches are nice and the night life. Working in Hollywood was fun. You get to see lots of stars. Oh well, Utah has good points too. You can see the seasons change. There is snow and I can go skiing!
You Belong in Los Angeles
Whether you'll admit it or not, a huge part of you likes being in the spotlight.
And you may just have enough star quality to make it big in LA!
Even if you don't become famous, you still belong in a place where you can get a year round tan.
