Influences

Chris Jordison:
In my BC (Before Christ) days: From Aerosmith to ZZ Top and many others in between. And being honest, I basically worshipped music. But now I worship the Creator of music.
Now my influences are: From Keith Green, Bob Bennett, Sweet Comfort Band all the way to the awesome Modern Worship we experience today. Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Hillsong United to name a few. I always have a desire to learn new styles and be open to new things God is doing in this generation.
Bobby Rubio:
Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Michael Schenker, Jake E Lee, Robert Sweet and Oz Fox (Stryper), Gary Moore, Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy), George Lynch, Richie Blackmore, Toni Iommi, Yngwie Malmsteen, Geezer Butler, Roger Glover, Steve Harris, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, Adam Clayton
Cynthia Hernandez:
Christal Lewis, Point of Grace, Patricia Hamilton and Elizabeth Girvan.
Chris Jordison, Bobby Rubio, Cynthia Hernandez, Chris Fuller and Stephen Martin have been leading Praise and Worship at First Love Calvary Chapel in Whittier, California for the past six years. It has been apparent to all, that they share a Heart of Worship, and their music will continue to be a blessing for many years to come.
Last year, they recorded a Live CD, that will be released by April. This CD has a mix of songs from Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Todd Agnew, others, as well as original songs written by members of the FLCC Praise and Worship Team.
During the course of the past 6 years, it has become apparent that God is doing some mighty things with us all, and now were moving up to the next level:
While we are very much still the FLCC Praise and Worship Team, which is our first love, we are beginning take this band outside the walls of our church, to minister anywhere God leads us! Coffee Houses, Clubs, other church congregations, Prison Ministries, wherever the Lord wants us to minister, thats where were gonna go!
One thing that stands out with this group, is that they all have a heart to minister and lift up Praise and Worship To The Lord. And in this frame of Heart, is where the bands name derives from: Dance Like David. Every single one of them desires to Lift the Name of Jesus up on high, and just as King David danced before the Ark of the Covenant, they also want to be bold as David was and Dance Like David!
So, our journey begins! Were excited and looking forward to seeing where God is going to take us, and how He will lead us in this Ministry called, Dance Like David.
