THIS IS TODD AND I REHASHING SOME OF OUR METAL TUNES FROM THE MID TO LATE 80'S.........BUT THIS SITE KICKS OFF THE BEGINNING...OF A STRING OF SITES TO PAY TRIBUTE TO THE GREATEST UNSIGNED METAL BAND IN HISTORY.....!!!!!!!! THERE WILL BE A DOZEN SISTER-SITES EASY.......FOR THERE'S ENOUGH VULCAN SONGS FOR AT LEAST A DOZEN ALBUMS.... THIS IS JUST A TASTE...THE OLDER TAPES ARE BEING DUMPED TO CD AS WE GO.....

SO PLEASE DO COME BACK.....THE OTHER SITES WILL INCLUDE SOME OF THE BEST SHREDDIN GUITAR WORK YOU CAN HEAR...AS WE WERE BLESSED WITH PLAYING WITH A FEW OF THE MOST TALENTED PLAYERS IN SOUTH FLORIDA HISTORY.....!!!!!!!!!

It has always been a bit of an obstacle using the VULCAN moniker...

Yet I was always headstong about not changing it.... you see... I did not come up with the name....and I too, thought first of Spock...and the pointed ears....and Star Trek....and my band manager at the time...a Mr. Tom Edwards, who now resides in the terror capitol of the World....Washington D.C...

....VULCAN MADE THE LIGHTENING BOLTS FOR THE GODS...SO THERE COULD BE LIGHTENING LIGHTS...SENDING ELECTRICAL STATIC OVERHEAD... ...and...CLOUDS......and..of course....FIRE !!!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF FIRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

HE CREATED PANDORAS BOX......YES.... VULCAN ...HE DID THAT !!!!!...so we could incorporate the release of Evil into it.....for the darker sides of Metal..and...my songwriting at the time....

It's not that important anymore....Maybe because the days of the lavish stageshow..in a sense..has disappeared ???... well.......did ..it was brought back by several top notchers over the past several years..;-))...thank you Manson... ....thank you Crue..(again) and ALWAYS THANK YOU ALICE AND KISS !!!

THERE ARE A TON OF BETTER NAMES.....NO DOUBTS THERE....but...VULCAN HAS SURVIVED IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER....

FOR 25 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!

IN WHICH CASE, I'M NOT CHANGING THE NAME.

NOR.......THE CONCEPT........

VULCAN WAS FORGED FROM MY LOVE FOR METAL...AND THE NEW SOUNDS THAT WERE COMING FROM OVERSEAS IN THE DISMAL DAYS OF DISCO HERE IN THE STATES.......I FIRST HEARD THE PRIEST IN 75...AND....THEY WERE A MAINSTAY OF MY DAILY LISTENING AT THE TIME....ALONG WITH KISS AND RUSH...PURPLE..SABBATH..UFO...THE HEEP...ETC...

1980......THE FORGE WAS FIRED UP !!!!!!!! in early 1981..VULCAN was performing it's very first show......we were a mainstay on the South Florida Metal Scene until our exit in 1992.

VULCAN is always ready to go though....haaaaaa...how bout that ????? the band remains alive forever in my mind......and a 3/4 reunion ...saturday night after...other rehearsal..kinda ..for fun...VULCAN....played a few shows at smaller venues in late 2002......

THIS VERSION OF VULCAN.... this... PHOENIX THEORY.....ANOTHER RESURRECTION ...of.......THE GREATEST...LONGRUNNING..UNSIGNED METAL BAND.....IN HISTORY !!!!!!

IN MY EYES OF COURSE. ;-o

THIS IS JUST TODD AND I.......DOING WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING...RECORDING...TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO WORK THE GEAR... DECIDED TO REHASH SOME OF THE VULCAN TUNES....TO KEEP US ALERT !!!!!

IT ALWAYS FEELS GREAT TO PLAY THESE SONGS...THEY KEEP ME BUSIER ON THE BASS....HITTING ALL THE FILLS WITH TODD IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE...FOLLOWED BY TRIUMPH.....BUT THE V-TUNES JUST FLOW FOR US STILL....AFTER FOREVER.....

EACH VERSION OF VULCAN WILL HAVE IT'S SITE...OR SITES.. as they all deserve their own identity..... most of the music...is on TAPE....very very ..old..TAPE...!!!!!!!!...but Todd is is trasfer mode with much of it....so the sites will start to pop up with the various versions of VULCAN ...;-))))))

there are well over 120 VULCAN songs.....so...there will be at least a dozen sites I guess....eventually....I would love to do that....that would make nearly a third of the VULCAN tunes available to listen to hear on Myspace...;-))

CHOOSING WHAT TO PUT UP....AND THE QUALITY OF THE RECORDINGS....WILL BE THE HARD PART......

ABOUT THE 4 SONGS ON THIS SITE..... I NEVER SANG THESE BEFORE.....I TRIED TO SOUND LIKE DAN HOLTZ.....(****.CO-AUTHOR OF "ON THE RUN"..and.."MOTHER & DAUGHTER SEDUCER")......ON THOSE TWO SONGS.....because....that's how I hear 'em in my head... and....."RUN FOR YOUR LIFE"....and..."UNKNOWN ASSASSIN"..were previously only sang by ALEX DEE.......my SCREEEEEAMING BANSHEE OF A LEAD VOCALIST....in the 1986-88 VULCAN....sooooo.....I couldn't reach those highs.....and just stuck to how I heard they should be in my head..

This version of "UNKNOWN ASSASSIN"...is...well....not my best singing..I'm doing all the vocal tracks here....trying to sing with myself...and trying some long high-end screams.....that I only...."almost"....reach...BUT THE BASS AND DRUMS ARE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS SONG.....ALL THE WAY....WE'RE RIGHT ON TOP OF EACH OTHER DURING ALL THE SPEEDY LITTLE FILLS .......

JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT !!!!!!!!

and TODD.......TODD.....THE DRUMMER....VULCAN DRUMMER 1986-92...HE'S BEATING THE HEADS ON THESE TRACKS....buuuttttt...HE'S ALSO CRANKIN OUT THE GUITAR ACTION AS WELL....and...I THINK HE DID A GREAT JOB....HE'S ONLY BEEN AT THE GUITAR ....STEADY....FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS....and now actually.....HE'S SPENT THE PAST YEAR ON THE PIANO MORE OFTEN THEN THE GUITAR....!!!!!!!!!!

He handed me a CD 2 days ago.....new tracks...Piano ...Drums...STILL WITH A DRIVING POWER.....IT'S NEVER ENDING WITH MY PARTNER FROM THE CLUSTERLUCK PROJECTS... OKAY.....MORE SITES TO COME....AND THEY WILL BE CLASSIC...

YES.......SOME VERY CLASSIC TRACKS ...THAT WOULD HAVE SURVIVED TIME...RIGHT ALONG WITH HEARING AN OLD OZZY SONG...OR METALLICA SONG....OR PRIEST OR MAIDEN TUNE.....WE JUST WEREN'T THAT LUCKY ALONG THE WAY ;-(.....

BUT AT LEAST NOW ...MORE THEN JUST SOUTH FLORIDA WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR US........
