About me: Vulgar Marsala Press was founded in Norfolk, VA, in 2008. In a nutshell, we are interested in satire, verse that deals with mythology and folklore, visual/imagist poetry, and work that explores philosophical, theological, and multi-dimensional issues. VM welcomes epic poetry and plays in verse, in the Bardic or contemporary tradition. Though our only true criteria is talent, and we do not espouse adherence to traditional forms, please note that we do not publish spoken word, political poetry, or any work that puts undisciplined spontaneity before fine-toothed comb editing and craftsmanship.
We generally publish no more than 4 authors a year. Official site and excerpts from upcoming work coming soon; submissions will open in February of 2009.
