Sounds LikeReview of Debut album in Blues Matters Magazine May 2008------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you like your Blues low. down and dirty, a la The Black Keys and The White Stripes, then look no further than Vulnerable Things for your next purchase, This home grown (they're British, don't you know - Gawd bless 'em!) trio of singer/songwriter GP Bennett, guitarist Lewis Hodgkinson and drummer Jimmi Ryan have served up some raw, but tasty morsels on their debut effort. GP's raspy voice is straight out of the Tom Waits and Howlin' Wolf school of singing and the other band members complement him brilliantly. His songwriting is incredibly strong, too, with plenty of intense tales of love and regret. Standout tracksinclude 'Jack High' and the simmering 'Down The Line', which hassome truly memorable slide guitar lines.'Maybelline' has a nicepop feel and some gorgeous harmonica by Rick Webb. There isn't a single weak song on this eleven track CD. Vulnerable Things have already supported folks like Wilko Johnson and Dr Feelgood and. on the evidence of this record; they will be a headline act in next to no time! Not only are they a first class Blues act, but they are one hell of an indie rock outfit, too.

   About Vulnerable Things
This little outfit have developed a sound all of their own, which can be heard on their Eponymous debut album (bluesinlondonrecords) Originally influenced by the Black Keys / Fat Possum revival , but now coming into their own with this LP of darkly intense tales penned by the hand of Front Man GP Bennett. Supported by the subtle touch of guitarist Lewis Hodgkinson and new additions Ed Green (Drums) and Keith Lovell (bass), the band have managed to inject some life and originality into a genre that was at the risk of fading out. The following year promises to be a big one for this dirty little blues band. THE BANDS SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM IS AVAILABLE NOW AT: www.bluesinlondonrecords.com and www.amazon.co.uk

Hey!

As a friend of Killaflaw we'd like to give you the opportunity of purchasing our uniquely numbered, limited edition CD single 'Revolution' which also includes the much loved 'Holy Fuck' on the B side.

There are only 1000 copies in existence and further copies will be sold without these unique numbers, so here is your chance to own a piece of music history from the LIPA award winning band dubbed by Eddy dance/rock guru Temple-Morris "the missing link between Soundgarden and The Prodigy"

The record is of course also available to buy as MP3 download.

To get your copy go to the following link:

www. cdbaby. com/killaflaw

Thanks again for supporting Killaflaw and we really hope you enjoy.
