About me: I'm a toronto local who's finally settled down enough to feel like I've "made it", but not an adult by any stretch of the word. I love my nites out, summer patios, and lazy day wanderings in and out of the city.
When I'm not working at my fulltime corporate gig, I'm out on my motorcycle or in the studio making music. I have dreams of eventually getting away from the world of the 9 to 5 and become an accomplished artist making all sorts of music, media and art.
When I do go out I like to have a good time (read as:prone to get crazy/hyper/fun while drinking). Be it, at a club listening/dancing to Techno, or a bar laughing it up with some of my more martini influenced friends.
I'm not totally manic! Life is all about relaxing and enjoying it all. Diners with friends, quiet time alone. Just breathing in the magic of what we have here and feeling how it flows. I have few friends I've kept close over the years, but still talk to everyone I know.
My heartbeat through all of the good and bad times has been art. Be it making music, taking pictures... or even just getting out in the world and recording experiences I've had or had the pleasure of being a part of. As a result I have all sorts of stuff online, Music, Art, and my Blog.
I just did an online fanzine. Assembler Techno Fanzine. It has articles I've written about techno music. A really neat project it was fun to put together and share out. Download it and give it a read.
Back when I was more inlove with the internet I started my online blog (Lx7.ca). but now I keep writing in it outta habbit. It's me, its very wordy and probably not interesting to 99.9% of the world population. But I like it.....
In sharing my appreciation of our music and scene, i have something for you. A 7 track project called the Lx7 Promo Release, and you can download it for free from the Lx7 site. It's mimimal techno / techhouse. It's my first solo album of music written from 1997 to 2007. Best of all I composed them either on a QY-700 or a MPC-4000 (depending on how old they are) and recorded into Nuendo, or straight to DAT. ... maybe it's a nice change of pace...
When I started this whole adventure I had no idea where it would go. A year later the best songs from the podcast are now together on an album... So it gives me great pleasure to share the results.
Not only is this album a collection of music that I whole heartedly believe in. On the show I talk about the future of music, and the end of record labels as we know it; this is what I believe the future of the music industry is going to be. You've listened to the podcasts and learn the stories behind them, now you can own the songs.
IF I HAVE ADDED YOU (it's because of one of the following)
A) It is most likely because I know you.
B) You are a musical influence on myself.
C) We share similar interests.
D) I like the cut of your jib.
E) According to me you are hot.
Who I'd like to meet: ppl who are interesting and have that "glint" in their eye...

It's always good to see someone from "the good old daze", still doing his thing. keep the luv alive, and stay thawed in the great white north. I'm sure I'll be in the Dot come summer we'll have to do it up like its '99
yo guy, you should be on BPM t.v. - your stuff is so much more compelling and researched and interesting than most of the crap they show on bpm. I vote for "something in that square" on satellite so that when I visit my parents there is something good to watch other than extreme skateboarding.
After the fantastic release by the extremly talented Gareth Duprey 'The Tempest', one of the most exciting artists worldwide is joining the family to deliver us a project that is complex, futurist and as we like to define it, from another dimension...
Mitch Walcott from famous worldwide DJ/Producer Jeff Mills labels Axis / Tomorrow has been know for one of the most beautiful album to date, Europa. The comments on Discogs, well know database and various other websites says it ! This man approach space and music like no other.
His production for Wildub is called 'Titan' and could be seen as the perfect 'next level' since 'Europa'. Mitch Walcott push again the limits, from the most basic heavy techno beat to the complex and classical style production, 'Titan' delivers an atmosphear that let you feels what organic means when talking about electronic music. The detail and precision of his works let us understand that Mitch Walcott is not only playing music but also integrates reflexion, research at limits of the scientific experience.
Due to the complexity of such a production, this release will be provided for free under a Creative Commons license 3.0.
