Hi, I have just uploaded a new tune featuring Dave Whyatt on guitar, Heavy Moons is a bit of a homage to Joe Zawinul.
Nikke was shocked at the tune I put up with her, a new version will follow soonNote: All tunes written by myself except for "Little Glass Ball" Prince/Baron and "Heavy Moons" Baron/Whyatt.A bit of history for you:-Coming from a very musical family, my father taught me drums when I was six. I played trumpet and trombone in brass bands and orchestras when a teenager, and took up bass at the age of 18. I have played folk with Tam lin, dance band gigs with "the trad dads", jazz rock with "Chains to the Moon" and fusion with "Jazzfusion". I had my own solo show for two years and then for 18 years work took over and I did very little.
For two years I brought my studio upto date, with new digital gear, then two years ago I took seven month out, to do nothing..........................but music. Working in Spain, at the Villa Lliber, I worked up ideas that came from the surrounding and music of Spain.
The tunes on this site are just a small example of the 22 I produced, but are a representative selection. Some of my tunes are more commercial some more experimental. The experience was something to dream of. The results are limited by my skills on other instruments
The next stage in this work is to rework it with musicians who can kick some life into it, and then, get a performing band together. If anyone would like the opportunity please contact me. I am now working on a new album, but it takes much longer when you have everyday life to get on with..
I just saw your comment on Had's site and thought I should come over to your place and leave you some good wishes for your weekend. :-) You should check out that Bireli album with Had and his band, it's so great!
Oh man. I can't believe you did this to me!! The song is great - but my vocals are everywhere. Right - when can I come down to re-record? My vocals are not giving it justice!!
