    American History enthusiast; love collecting and listening to music (mostly jazz); enjoy museums of any type. I travel a great deal, and tend to enjoy visiting other places and learning what the 'natives' do and enjoy in their cities/countries.

    Jazz lover - big time! I like classical music too. Growing up in Detroit, I'm forever rooted to R&B and the Motown sound.

    Best movie I ever saw - "Little Miss Sunshine." I laughed so hard, I was hurting. I also enjoyed the 'Last King of Scotland.' Forrest Whitaker was awesome!

    Not much of a TV watcher - but I do love "The Office."

    "Roots" by Alex Haley (who was also a personal friend); plus a number of books written by my author friend, Dennis Noble.

About me:

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. At age 17 just two days out of high school, I joined the U. S. Coast Guard, and enjoyed a terrific 30 year career, retiring in 2002 as the service's top senior ranking enlisted person, the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard. I've enjoyed a wonderful life thus far - traveled to all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico and Guam, as well as 41 foreign countries. Sailed on both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.     daddy! when are you gonna be out here? you haven't sent me an email yet. Unless I missed it. The router blew up last week (not really, it stopped working) and I couldn't get online at all.


    I have GOT to get out of this state lol. There's all kinda gang fights and stuff in Fremont now.
    We're in the process of getting taken over by Nortenos and Surenos and they hate each other apparently =/

    Anyways, email/message/call me when you figure out when you'll be out this way so I can request that day(s) off or at least just work in the morning.
