From Grudge To Mutiny

Dynamic, intense and hard is how one could describe Wackmobil..s debut album. With a balanced mix of progressive, emo, grunge and (nu)metal this band leaves a convincing impact. The Wackmobil-sound .. characterized by raw guitars, a grooving rhythm section and melodic vocals .. keeps the listener..s attention from start to finish. The album presents 12 songs of diverse structures, hypnotizing melodies and fluent tempo fluctuations contrasted by catchy choruses and delicate breaks. No pre-fab pop song material but rather a dose of music that requires an audience willing to take some time to take it all in. Comparisons with band like Tool, APC and Korn are a good start.

From Grudge To Mutiny was produced by producer/guitarist Arno Krabman (Graveland Studio:The Embodiment, Autumn, Why She Kills). Stefan:..He really knew how to bring the best out of us. Every day we left the studio with a this ..big smile.. on our faces... Krabman especially left his mark on Ruben..s vocals with his genius ideas for harmonies. ..Besides rhythm and melody you can do a lot to give a song a certain attitude. That..s an aspect that he definitely contributed to .. In addition, he also knew how to please Erik and Stefan with a raw and organic guitar sound. And finally, Tim..s pulsing bass lines and Jaap..s pounding beats pull the songs together to form a coherent whole. The result is a crisp yet dirty and organic sound without resorting to a stereotypical ..over-produced.. approach.

Starting December Wackmobil will be performing live to support the release of the album.
