Finally, a talented group of professional musicians establish a band for the people –a light, up-beat tone, and a deep, thoughtful statement fuses to satisfy a positive collective spirit that welcomes all. Their name, Wade in the Rhythm, is a description of an evocative musical expression and an invitation to the listener. Rooted in reggae, expanded to incorporate many diverse genres, and remaining faithful to an original sound, this four-piece band will captivate the audiences of any venue from a small bar to a music theatre. WITR’s songs are often described as ‘catchy’ and ‘inspirational,’ by their fans, and are usually described as 'eclectically structured to include the resonance of world music, rock, and folk, and contain an improvisational spirit that refuses to be played the same way twice,’ by the band members (in unison). The strong creative rhythms elicit dancing-induced jollification; the lyrical content uplifts; the memorable melody lines evoke spiritual connections, and the sincere energy hits the soul. While collaborated from the efforts of a guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, and drummer, the name, ‘Wade in the Rhythm,’ represents the collective attempt to use music to make an impact that supercedes the pieces of its makeup and transcends individuality.
