Wafer Thin is a rock trio based in Winston-Salem NC that brings a refreshing taste to the vast musical platter that is available today.
With it's big sound featuring strong guitar and drum grooves, melodic bass and catchy vocal melodies, Wafer Thin plays songs that capture the listener's interest.
A live set from Wafer Thin is filled with high energy fun and a wide range of musical textures. There is the Americanish "One and Done", the full on Garage Rock anthem of "Dual Reaction", the straight ahead rocker "Down", and a unique cover of Duran Duran's "Rio", which is always a crowd favorite. When all is said and done, Wafer Thin delivers a rambunctious, clever and tight live performance.
With two full length CDs to their credit (2001's On Your Mantlepiece and the highly rated 2003 release Strange You're Here), Wafer Thin began work on their long awaited third record in February, 2008 at Ken Mohan's Subterranean Spider recording studio. The new CD is entitled Moving Forward All Directions and will be released in August 2008.
Wafer Thin performs in North Carolina, Southern VA and northern South Carolina.
