Maddie is a 6 month Husky mix female puppy.
Be careful! This blue eye beauty is a stealer of hearts!
She is a healthy, energetic, affectionate puppy looking for a home with plenty of space to romp around and an active family/owner who can keep up with this athletic sweetie. She would be wonderful with agility training!
Maddie will only go to a home who will commit to give her plenty of exercise. She is a working breed and regular exercise is a MUST! Also, because Huskies are pack oriented she will need owners that are strong leaders.
Maddie is currently in a foster home with 2 young adults and a young female Labrador retriever. She has a yard to run and play with her foster sister and goes for daily jogs/walks with her foster parents. Maddie literally stops traffic on her outings. People are taking aback by this friendly and exotic beauty. She has gotten to be very popular around amongst the neighbors. She has stolen all of our hearts!
Maddie is currently 39 lbs and will probably grow to be another 20 -30 lbs full grown. She is doing wonderfully with her training. Maddie understands the commands ‘sit’, ‘down’ (lay down), ‘come’, ‘no’, ‘off’ (off furniture), and she’s nearly completely house broken. She understands that she can only go outside and will wait up to 4-5 hours. This is really good for such a young pup. She is very smart and very receptive to training.
Maddie is very good puppy who is also in the mouthy phase of her life. She understands that she can not be mouthy with her foster parents. She’s come a long way with this and has learned her limits in this aspect with her foster sister too. With plenty of exercise, training and chew toys, Maddie is a joy to have in the home.
Maddie is not aggressive at all. She is good with all other dogs and people. Because of her size and energy level, Maddie would not be a good pet for small children (infant – 6 yrs of age) already in the home. But if she were to go to a home with a young couple looking to have children in the future, teaching Maddie how to behave around small children would be easy enough.
