WAGON plays original music inspired by the American traditions of old time and bluegrass music. We like playing our own renditions of traditional tunes and covers too. Based in Marin County, WAGON often plays at the Pelican Inn (Muir Beach), the San Rafael (street) market, Larkspur Theater, bars, weddings, parties, and some fund raisers around the Bay Area. WAGON likes timeless old music reminiscent of simpler times, while offering a present day perspective on the issues and things we feel influence us. They blend into a tasty collection of fresh original compositions, and offer the listener warmth, reason to feel, and down home grit. WAGON is rolling and will be sure to get some grins cracking and your feet tapping. This year we're happy about getting around a little bit more and also about the development of a monthly gathering at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, hosted by our friend at SpaceNug. Hoping to get into the studio soon, so look out for more of our music in mid-late summer.
Hey Brian Sorry bout the verrrrrry delayed response. I'm in Oakland now have been there for a couple months. I remember hangin' with you too... dancing the night away with Sebo. Hey Wagon ... Thanks for being our newest friend...Great Tunes! .. Stop by and leave us a post sometime, we'd love to hear from you... Thanks Mike Gibson, The Grass Less Traveled
I like this stuff a lot. you guys really have the mix inbetween the old and new school down well. Picken parites? Like a Hodown? We've been getting some local (sonoma county) shows together. maybe that could be our pickin party.
I love me some bluegrass. Really great good music guys. I am always looking for great music, so please make sure to keep me posted when you play in the area. Thanks. Marin Real Estate
now that we've relocated we wanted to drop a line and hopefully we're not to late to say happy new year.
Also, we've released two projects to start the new year, from Shawn Tracy and Jon Crocker, we would love it if you stopped by and gave them a listen...
When is Wagon gonna hit the road and roll on down to So Cal? Folks down here need a good dose of old-time tunes and bad banjo jokes. I sure do. I <3 Wagon.
