Waiting For Lester is a Washington, DC area bluegrass band formed out of a desire to revisit the days of the classic Washington, DC Bluegrass Sound. That sound was typified by the Country Gentlemen, fronted by guitarist and vocalist Charlie Waller, and by the ground-breaking Seldom Scene, a group whose smooth vocals and virtuosic instrumental skills redefined Bluegrass music for many people.
Combining the veteran Resophonic guitarist David Whitaker, the talented Jason Hannan on guitar and vocals, Will Meadors on mandolin and rounding out the vocal trio, and up and coming bassist Adam Meadors, the band strives to bring back a unique element to DC area Bluegrass music.
