"Waiting To Explode are doing well, and rightly so...........They are generally said to belong to the 'experimental funk rock' genre, and on listening to their EP, it's clear they also partake of a heaviness which lends a solid and unyielding depth to their sound."(Connected Magazine)
''The four piece have such a wide range of influences, its difficult to pinpoint an exact similarity to another band. But whatever way you look at it the band have managed to match great melody to a fantastic set of illuminating rock songs''
Andrew McGuinness, (Kilkenny Voice)
"Blending pure musical influence, raw, untamed talent and that simple magic that separates prodigies from the meek, Waiting To Explode loop, tie and knot together a unique style of progressive, funk-rock, that doesn't just pay tribute to their influences''
Keith Aherne, (Drop-d.ie)

Hi Guys, Hope all is well. We are hoping to get support (Votes) from other bands in Ireland to help us along in the You’re A Star competition tomorrow night on RTE1. Generaly bands frown upon this show, however we feel that this view is a little out dated, we see it as a kind of a battle of the bands competition (which most of us have entered at one stage or another) we are representing all bands in Ireland and the solo artist, well, they’re representing themselves. So it’s Rock –v- Pop!. We where in the bottom two last week and really want to progress in the show, as you will all be well aware it is very, very tough to break trough onto The Irish or International music scene, its hard work and its EXPENSIVE. The top prize on the show this year is €50,000 cash and €10,000 worth of music equipment, we really hope that you guys will get behind us to try and change perception that bands don’t do well on these shows, WE CAN and if we do other bands will get a chance at winning much needed funds. The show starts at 6.30p.m. & voting starts at 7.30.p.m. Please HELP by txting star11 to 53125 or calling 1513 71 71 11. Please also pass this message on to other bands you may know, we really do need the support of real musicians…..
