I'm honored that many artists have recorded my music - Pauline Reese, Heather Wilkins, Duane Staley, Sheila Marshall, Shayne Weems, Chad Reilly, Katelyn Hobson, Nikki Lee, Art Bentley, Amy Acklyn, and Gemma Lawrence to name a few. Recording my material is the ultimate compliment.
I'm drawn to Waylon's music. That back beat, bottom heavy groove goes hand in hand with his vocal style and lyrics. It's pure and genuine. The title track of my CD "Against The Grain" was written in honor of Waylon. The CD is a collection of songs I wrote that take the listener down that washboard, pothole-ridden road called "life." Sometimes the melodies churning around in my head become pretty good stories, but I guess the listener will make that call.
