Photography to me, is a chance to explore the limitless boundaries of the subconscious whilst turning the world of photographic perception and reality, upside down. My ultimate aim is to drag the viewers of my images kicking and screaming into the nightmares and dark areas in my mind – a desolate place littered with strange characters and perverse sexuality. The artistic ethos behind WakentheDead is to capture a sense of chance by exploring a world that convention still has yet to contain or to control.

Man, I had hampsters all growing up until a similar tragedy. Two of our hampsters mated, we called them 'Alice' and 'Chains', they had two kids who we called 'Guns' and 'Roses' (yeah, we were original, narf) Well one day, absolutely randomly, the father just flips out. He eats the mother and mortally wounds his daughter, would have killed her but his son got in the way & saved her temporarily but lost his leg in the process. As gruesomely depressing as this whole scenario was, we tried to give it some levity by renaming 'guns' to 'pegleg' and renaming 'chains' to 'Megadeth'.
The sad thing as I haven't made an ounce of that up, a joyful side note is that Megadeth was an escape artist in his latter years and enjoyed the taste of human toes. He never got mine, but my older brother had his share of tiny teeth perforating his feet.
Since, I've bought a turtle.
I'm sorry for the insanity & the tragedy, keep truckin'.
