About me:
It is time to WAKE UP! Bush said we were going to Iraq to fight terrorism and find weapons of mass destruction. We found no weapons of mass destruction and no evidence that Iraq was supporting terrorist activities. So why are we still there? According to Bush, Iraq needed a regime change. Yet there was no clear plan for this regime change, and there is still no clear plan. Experts have said that America is less safe than we were five years ago! Furthermore, as America continues to occupy Iraq without a plan, the death toll continues to rise. Over 2,000 Americans have died and approximately 50,000 Iraqi civilians have died. The Administration needs to acknowledge their failures and stop trying to save face before it is too late. We must demand that the Administration institute an exit plan that will start removing U.S. troops from Iraq immediately.
It is time to WAKE UP! It is time for us to stop being so apathetic. While our youth is being educated, an Iraqi mother keeps her child home in fear that he may get killed on the way to school. While we are eating dinner with our families, a U.S. soldier awakens to realize that he now has two limbs instead of four. While we are watching our favorite television show, a little Iraqi girl’s white dress turns red from the blood of her father being killed right in front of her. This does not even begin to describe the horrible and tragic situation in Iraq.
DUE TO SERIOUS DIFFICULTIES IN SECURING A PERMIT FOR D.C. ON THE 30TH, WE MUST ALTER OUR INITIAL PLANS. WE WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED.
