nivek	Sep 3 2008 8:52 AM Sep 3 2008 3:45 AM On Thursday, September 4, a project (COLLABO!!!!) I've done with Benjamin Shepard will show at the MAPS CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE in Belleville, IL. . The event comes in two parts: the daytime thing runs from noon until 6:00, and it looks like it'll be totally great, all kinds of talented artists and skateboarders from the St. Louis region and there will be things to skate, they're making obstacles, and really it's a family and cultural event not to be missed. Then at night, from 6 until 9, Djs Crucial (Rob Fulstone, as honest, genuine, and talented as any man I know) and Needles (a fine man, too, though I know him less personally; I didn't GROW UP with Needles, riding around in his tinted-out Cherokee, boxish, pouring sweat and drinking cans of Nestea, sometimes running the car's heat in August so the pool would be that much more refreshing, Digable Planets and Compton's Most Wanted, Social Distortion, our jeans huge, low, wheels tiny, trucks tight, boards everslicked...) will spin records. Then it will be like a bigtime art show and man oh man, man alive, everyone should really go. . Thank you for visiting.
