Writing...I love writing! Words are wonderful tools of the imagination and I am their master. *she laughs* Well most of the time. Sometimes words win and I become their puppet, but I love them just the same. I read as well, just about anything I can get my hands on really.
Music
I like listening to just about everything but rap...and country gets on my nerves after a time. I am quite fond of glam rock though and right now I must say that that is my favorite.
Movies
Jesus Christ Superstar, Cowboy Bebop, Nightmare Before Christmas, Angels in America, Buckaroo Banzai, Fight Club, Velvet Goldmine, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Legend, The Muppet Movie, V for Vendetta, I Heart Huckabees, Saved, Newsies, Mirrormask, Pulp Fiction, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Science of Sleep, The Prestige, Pirates of the Carribean
Television
Boston Legal, Good Eats, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Neverwhere, House, Futurama, Family Guy. Oh and of course Law and Order...all three. Though Boston Legal is my favorite.
Books
American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, Dharma Bums, Tristessa, House of Leaves, His Dark Material trilogy, Clockwork, Lulliby, Invisible Monsters, Survivor, The Great Gatsby, The Screwtape Letters, Anansi Boys, Stardust...there really are too many to name so I shall stop whilst I am ahead.

The young woman smiles as she settles in a chair, it is a look of amusement. She crosses one leg over the other and looks directly at the interviewer. “So,” she says initiating what the interviewer is reluctant to begin, “What do you want to know?”
Let me begin by giving you a fair warning. I am different and I am unique, but above all I am plainly and simply me. Me being me of course means that on a daily basis I exist as a contradiction and an anomaly. Its hard to describe me in words though many have tried. I’ve heard anything from impish to cute, to manipulative to blatantly honest. But its hard to sum up something so complex in so few words, though it seems the more people try to interpret me the farther they get from the truth. You may try if you wish.
It seems that I spend most of my time trying to make things difficult for myself. I love being at the center of attention but I avoid the spotlight like the plague. I have always put others before me at the times when I more then anyone want someone to take care of me. I adore compliments though I don’t go out of my way to make myself noticeable. I always take things seriously though I believe wholeheartedly that life must be looked at with a sense of humor. Most people find it hard to make me laugh, but I am almost always amused by their efforts. I love life and everything it brings and at the same time I hate what the world has become. I don’t believe in conformity but I think that to get your way sometimes you have to act the way someone wants you to. I dislike hypocrites more then anyone, but I am the first to admit that I am intolerant of intolerance and damn proud of it. As I mentioned earlier I am contradiction incarnate, but I would have it no other way.
People wonder what I am, but I am too many things to list. But if I were to choose one word to explain who I was, I am a writer, tried and true. Also I am a skilled people watcher, I know exactly what to say and how to say it. I almost always know how someone will react before they do. In this skill I have avoided many conflicts and created a few. I hate to be surprised so I always try to second guess someone, though I hardly ever act on assumptions because I also hate to be wrong. Another category I don‘t hesitate to place myself in, is that of playtron. This means that I am a renaissance faire goer in the worst way. My life revolves around these six weekends in the fall and I spend the rest of the year planning and sewing costumes, creating characters and keeping in touch with the people who I have met at past festivals. Need a costume?? I‘m your gal.
I am quiet and contemplative. I love to have answers so I spend most of my time thinking on problems of the world, and many that are closer to home. I often get lost in thought and if I find myself bored by something or someone my mind wanders something terrible. The saying, “it’s the quiet ones you gotta watch,” applies to me. I don’t have the usual Irish temper. Too often I sit on my anger, allowing a cold rage to build up. When I lash out I hardly ever feel remorse because deep down I feel the person deserved my outrage in some way. I hardly ever displace my anger though I have been known to get grumpy and unresponsive. Don’t worry, it takes a lot, and I mean a lot, to get me angry enough to do something about it.
I am a great listener and I don’t mind giving advice. I love my friends with a passion and am very protective of those that are close to me. I am very selective about those that I am friends with though I get along with just about everyone. I don’t like to complain, or show weakness, but I don’t hold it against anyone who does. Unless of course its excessive then I get annoyed. I love discussing philosophy, religion, politics and anything that causes controversy, but only with those who have an open enough mind to accept another persons ideas, no matter how conflicting they may be. I love coffee shops, late nights, and walks in the rain. I don’t like crowds or lines or aimless shuffling. I’m not picky about music, except I will, under no circumstances, listen to rap. Whatever I’m in the mood for I listen to and I have a radio in my head 24/7. Hey, who ever said life doesn’t have background music?
The young woman laughed at the expression worn by the interviewer. He sat across from her, his mouth open in awe or in shock. Either way it amused the hell out of her. She leaned back in her chair, a satisfied smirk playing across her lips. Folding her hands across her lap she said, “And now you probably know more about me then you ever wanted to know.”
Who I'd like to meet: Neil Gaiman...and hey look at that I did get to meet him! *does a happy dance* Now I have to come up with someone new, though to meet him again would be really awesome.
and then I crushed him and kicked him under the carpet and we moved before he started to smell...? Hell I dont know. Did you see the pictures of you and your fiance'?
Heylo!! How are you?!?! I love you baby. We were suppost to play a show on the river bank, but we got rained out and we had to play in this place with horrible accoustics, were the music sounded really muddy. that and the crowd didnt even get to just 'pass by and see us' but had to go to the other place with the aim of seeing us. BUT, we did get a small crowd of people looking to book us for festivals and we're going to start recording soon. I moved next door already, and now we have an extra bed *wink* and a big clean house for guests! Yay. That and a clean kitchen.
Anyways, Dave says hello with a big smile, and says he's sorry he was in such a bad mood the last time he saw you.
