In the words of ARfm DJ Steve Price - Waking Jonah is "a band, or project" that takes on many forms.
Started as a musical experiment between Songwriter and Guitarist Stephen Chesney and Line of Fire vocalist Shawn Pelata in 2007, it spawned a four song demo featuring keyboardist Keary Reid and Jeremy Thomas on Drums. Two of those songs saw online release in very early demo form in 2008. Two other songs were written for the original EP that were never released.
The band is currently writing new material for the full length Waking Jonah debut album due for release in mid/late 2009.
Voted number 5 on the the AlternativeAddiction.com top 20 unsigned bands list based off the demo version of Debut Song - Breaking Down, Waking Jonah continues down its path of guitar driven monster hooks and will be bringing new music to the table in 2009.
