"A strong woman is a woman who craves love like oxygen or she turns blue choking.
A strong woman is a woman who loves strongly and weeps strongly and is strongly terrified and has strong needs."
- Marge Piercy
About me: i watch too many movies and read too many books - both which take up time that could be spent on more useful pursuits.
a morning person and a night owl, i wish i didn't need sleep.
i'm mainly a private person, and honest. i respect conviction, i love laughing, and i'd do anything at all for my family.
A voice said, "Cry out."
And I said, "What shall I cry?"
"All people are like grass ... The grass withers and the flowers fall ... Surely the people are grass."

Did you, by chance, happen to receive the terribly out-of-date postcard? There should be 80's garbed Germans on the photo. If not, I probably used improper postage.
Thanks for being our Friend! We already need to call in a favor! ;) We are 1 of 3 finalists up for a Myspace Impact award, please help support us by voting for us now at myspace. com/impactawards
Please, please repost to your friends! You can vote once per day up to October 20th.
Take it to 'em and good luck with the 5K. Know that Hallifax Nancy and all auxillary Hallifax Nancy Companies pledge their support and encouragement to you.
And, if you're getting this Post-Run, How'd it go? We're going to Vienna this week. I'm predicting Sattler will run into a few old flames from his fiery past.
I made it back. Kiel Broke me. The Baltic Sea is cold...very cold.
Good detective work on this Hallifax Nancy Business. I was going to do 2 separate alias for the two gifts but couldn't really come up with a better name. Ernest Darjeeling was considered but eventually bested by Hallifax Nancy. The marathon is in little over a week, correct? Are you running solo or do you have team-mates running with you?
I have planned what might be the most ambitious tour of Germany since Bismarck's Day. I'm hitting all 4 corners in one weekend (my German Rail Expires). Salzburg (Austria, but it counds), Dresden, Rostock, Kiel and Koln...I'll try to get you a Baltic-Sea Post Card if I make it back.
And, in Sattler news- upon reading in the Humanities book about Native American Song, he said, "We can do this...everybody." He then started to get a beat going and he did a convincing Navajo Rain Dance/Song. The man has limitless knowledge.
After this weekend, I should have one day left on my German Rail-any town you recommend?
They do seem to have a sense of one-up-manship. In an excursion to Ludwigsburg, Dr. Sattler gave an impromptu lecture on Baroque Style architecture only to have a quick ammendment made to it by Dr. Lerner at the end.
I dig Sattler's purple umbrella and Orange sash/scarf which he often sports at the same time.
The week was very busy- festivals abounded- so the Post Karte has not been mailed yet... should be in there by tomorrow. Out-of-date news fills it and I just realized that a few sentences have poor grammatical structure, yet the picture on the front should heal such irks.
Also, a German film named 'Der Baader Meinhof Komxplex' is making some noise over here. Prepare for its American premiere in the near future. That way you'll be leagues ahead of any person at Pepperdine who is in need of a German Foreign Film.
Sorry I can not make the "Info Sess." If only I had some Concorde Jets to put this Atlantic Ocean in its place... Ne'ertheless, best of luck with your upcoming humanitarian efforts- very commendable of you.
In recent news, Oktoberfest and Heidelberg Herbst were in the same weekend, so festivals dominated my time.
Oh, and Dr. Sattler is quite well. I have 2 of his classes, both of which are filled with wisdom and witty quotes such as, "The Baby Jesus here looks like an adult man...he looks like an angry Finnish Banker...not like a Baby at all."
Things still slidin' well for your Senior Year at Pepperdine? How goes Sailing Class?
And, in a neurotic turn o' events on my part: I think I deleted a photo from my Berlin album just as I got a notification saying "New Photo Comment" on that one. I fear the comment is lost to time. I just wanted to put that out there in case something important was said in the comment that required response... or maybe it was a phantom comment and a glitch on Myspace's part. Once again, it is lost to time.
Not even one bear? There were plenty of bears to choose from.
Berlin was wild. There was this reconstructed Babylonian Gate at the Pergamum Museum...wild. And, after my gruppe left, I was on my own in the Berlin streets for a few hours and able to see the hyper-modern section of Berlin with a Film Museum and swanky architecture. Berlin's a wonder.
Expect a post-card in the mail. You have your choice of 'Standard Brandenburg Gate' shot or the 1989 Brandenburg Gate Shot (Complete with 80's garmented Berliners).
I'll have to be a bit selective as to whom I select to go on the dunkel zum mitnemem quest...last night we all went to the Dubliner and then the Diskothek at the Schwimmbad Club. Most of my time was spent making sure some of my overly-drunk female classmates were not carried off by oily-haired Germans with ill intent.
Was Herr Daugherty the one you said was a Movie fan? He's been throwing out a few trivia references here and there. I haven't heard anything about 'Sliding Doors' yet, but I'll stay alert.
Also, this morning I noticed I was drinking 'Darjeeling Tea', I nearly dropped the cup in shock. The curse is planning something big.
