wes	Oct 27 2008 2:36 AM On the evening of the 23rd a carload of me and my friends loaded up in Hockley, Texas and left for downtown Houston to catch the Butthole Surfers. We arrived early and took a brief detour to Waldo's, you know, for a 'pick me up'. The gentleman who greeted us was Shawn Tate. The last time I saw Shawn... shit... AC/DC had a new record out called Back in Black. We were in the 6th grade. I kid you not. It had been a while. THe atmosphere at Waldo's was a welcome relief to our butts after the drive, and the refreshing beverages that Shawn whooped up kept me awake long enough to get me home the next day! We are planning to return on November 29th to see the Misfits and will be stopping by for what I hope is a longer visit! One thing I must add, is that we sat down to watch this guy play this really cool old Harmony guitar. One of the first things out of his mouth was a comment about playing a game of chess on the chest of my 15 year old daughter. The next thing he said was less appealing. He stopped talking after that. I'm real glad he did. Aside from that, we had a wonderful visit and can't wait to see you folks again! wes Hockley, Texas
