Deeply fixated and somewhat intoxicated with the notion that "music can change the world," (-Beethoven) Waldo Wittenmyer and the Wall of Sound have embarked on an epic journey to do just that. They have surmounted trials and tempests, although many indubitably remain. The pressures of this world, however, are but fleeting in juxtaposition to the hope for eternal glory. The four members, fronted by John Wittenmyer, each share a unique role in this discovery.
And so, tragedy sometimes ensues--we weep bitterly to see a good thing die, cringe at the loss of a lover, ache with bitter heartache as we are distanced from the objects of our affection--but somehow, this calamity inspires, nay, compels us to move forward despite immense grief. Just as it sometimes takes the death of a family member or a friend to bring into light how utterly one has been misplacing himself and his energy, these catastrophes which we all experience remind us what we do not want to be, invigorate us to excel with all our heart, to show mercy and love to our neighbor at all cost, to offer our possessions and service selflessly, without hesitation... to place utmost trust into the intentions and intelligence of our friends, and to remain as honest at first impression as to an acquaintance of five-and-thirty years. May we all embrace the impetuses of optimism and ambition which have been so graciously bestowed unto us.
Music is but one means to which this eternally desirable conclusion may be reached. The members of this group have been lucky enough to have found for themselves this avenue in which to proceed, however, paths as countless as the stars present themselves before you.
