This is a site for all the Myspace friends of Walker County, Alabama. It's quite unofficial and not representative of any organization in Walker County. It is the brainchild of a man known as Jay and is now updated from time to time by his buddies Rob and Brandon.
Anyone from the area can tell you that there’s not a place quite like Walker County. If there’s one thing that defines Walker County it’s COAL. The place has been mined for the stuff so long that the entire county is going to drop 5 feet one day from having the bottom dug out from under it. Most of the mines are closed but unless the completion of I-22changes anything, the area will continue to mainly be known for the coal mines, “Goober” from the Andy Griffith show, and the boxer/MMA fighter Eric “Butterbean“ Esch.
