About me: Walking on Water is a unique organization that fills a need within the surfing community. We have seen the positive effects the camps and surf films have had within the surfing community, and have expanded our ministry in order to reach a wide audience through the sport of surfing. People young and old, male or female, surfer or non-surfer, have come to appreciate and connect with the life saving message of Jesus Christ conveyed through our films. Speaking engagements at various public and private schools, church youth groups, and local youth events are other ways Walking on Water positively impacts the lives of young people. Walking on Water is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the financial support of individuals, churches, and foundations.
Over the past 12 months Walking on Water has been screened every four days somewhere in the world! It has been shown over 95 times in 7 countries to over 62,000 people.
Brazil Outreach:
Walking On Water World Tour Continues In Brazil
Our volunteer coordinator for the Brazil tour, Danielle Devlin has done an incredible job over the past few months organizing the outreach/screenings of the Walking On Water film in many cities throughout Brazil. The film has been translated recently into Brazilian Portuguese as well as fourteen other languages. The first of many Brazilian outreaches was held on June 26th, in Florianopolis. Paulinho Stadler from Christian Surfers Brazil and his leadership team worked hard preparing and promoting the successful outreach. Over 350 people were in attendance and many responded to the Gospel message. The W.O.W. film has now been screened in Mexico, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Bali, China, London and now Brazil. Our goal is to host outreach/screenings in every major surfing nation and we are excited to see what God will do as the tour continues to Japan, U.K., Spain, France, Portugal, South Africa, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Peru, and other nations. Please continue to pray for many lives to be impacted throughout these screenings.

US Open Outreach:
On the weekend of July 24th-26th the largest surf competition in the world, the US Open, will be held at Huntington Beach. Walking On Water, Christian Surfers, Rock Harbor Church and several other local churches and ministries are teaming up for the 4th consecutive year to reach out to the 200,000 plus spectators. On the day of the 25th we will be hosting a booth at the competition and will be passing out dvd’s, praying for people and will be helping with the set up and breakdown of the event site. That night we will also be hosting a screening of Beyond The Dream with Special guest Joey Buran who will be inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame that weekend. We will need many volunteers for this event so we encourage you and your friends to come out and team up with us! Texas beaches need your help. Last week state Rep. Wayne Christian pulled a sly move in the legislature and created an exception to the Texas Open Beaches Act that allows him and his neighbors on Bolivar Peninsula to build houses on the PUBLIC BEACH.
This is bad news.
