I am Walkingstick.
Many moons ago I decided to drop out of art school and instead deejay around the world, from Scotland, USA, Puerto Rico, Brazil, etc.. Through throwing events and traveling I met and got to spend some good times with some really great people who have inspired me in some way or another, one of the most memorable of them all being Afrika Bambaataa with whom I hung out while playing the 2002 Ecosystem festival in Brazil, compliments of Carlos Soul Slinger and TC Izlam, my mentors. I have made many trips to Brazil, playing some of the most awesome cities in the world such as Rio, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Manaus, as well as cities that had never even heard jungle music. While in Brazil I met lots of cool people, played lots of shows and also learned to speak Portugues. Voce fala?
After many years with a heavy traveling agenda I landed in San Francisco and have lived here happily for many years. I am much more low key and do not really puruse shows as I once did, but I still produce lots of music of various styles, more jungle than anything though. I have 4 vinyl records out, on my label, Walkingstick World Records and also a track on Jungle Riddim Records.

I have two EARTH DAY events in production right now. "Save The Nolaverse" flatbeds with DJs spinnin' parade style at and between multiple venues.
and "Eve Of The Empire" a 2by 12 krew caravan through India to perform at a buddest monestary in Tibet.
the only artists I have lined up for NOLA or/and TIBET are SLINGER, SKOREA KREW, and ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION.
EK 2010 will be here with INTERGALACTIK PURIFIER, DJ SALEX, DJ QARRELL, DJ MIND, NINJATRON, KAMOFLAGE, AU, and more. Thursday April 22nd with a KONKRETE JUNGLE venue and local support, camping, and "locked-door party" events scheduled as well.
Even if you can't make it to the show here. I hope you will be able to get behind the tables somewhere to mix a recorded set for sale at our future site. Every penney of the money made by each contributing artist on the site will goto thier next EARTH'S KNIGHT event budget.
hopefully this will produce enough revenue to fly all you artists around the world to perform and inspire eachother for collaberating, creating, performing, recording, and producing an archive of one of a kind compossitions for not only sustaining your place in the event next year... but expanding it's paramiters.
I haven't produced an event since 2005 with you and Carlos. This next event has seven confirmed artists joining the fray... contributing pieces, broadcasting and recording live, and collaberating together aside from you and SLINGER.
I'm pretty proud of myself for where its gone so far but amazed at where it's headed.
This will be the biggest musical event cooridinated for the year.
