Walking Upright is located in New York City. The group began as a recording project started by Patrick and Bryan Logan around 2003. Bryan, who had recently graduated college was inspired to take on writing lyrics to his brother's ever expanding guitar work. Patrick had picked up the guitar about two years prior and started writing music like second nature. He has since graduated with a degree in studio production and this album has been his great labor. Al Domingo was the first to sit down with the brothers and has continued to collaborate and guide this music, becoming an undeniable creative force. His involvement always has and continues to bring great ideas and people to the table. Cliff Ribeiro is a powerhouse of style and is the force that jump started this line-up. His strength pervades everything he plays, giving the music a genuine backbone. Jess Hamaker came into the picture in the New Year of 2009 and it is a wonder to see her do her thing. She is a completely original artist, a strength belied by age and the most legitimate soulful singer you're going to find, period. Yvans Jean-Michel has the touch. Plain and simple. His tasteful approach sits over, under, in between and when the bass comes to the forefront it just does your heart some good. Adam Zirkin is a busy, busy man. Luckily, the stars alligned for his involvement and his brilliance shines on every cut. He is sick in the head and the fingers.
'Patchwork' is the definition of collaboration. It has laid the groundwork for the band that now is Walking Upright. From the onset, this project seemed impossible and foolish at best. Now it is nothing less than miraculous to have such a gathering of talented musicians under one roof and with the prospect of more music to be made together, it is almost too much to believe. The approach of 'Patchwork' is reflected in the fact that life is way more interesting than what we can imagine and construct on our own. Trusting each person to add their flavor and the sight of expectations exceeded had a quality that became really addictive. You'll find the inches are really taken up and the layers piled high on this record.
See you soon.

Please look forward to seeing a ton more, but in the mean time, check it out and let us know what you think!!! Follow the link below each photo, to Ebay, where you can purchase the item that you love ze most!
Because we're on that college/freelance stylist living in New York City budget, AND because we totally disagree with vintage boutiques around here selling clothes for outlandish prices, we've decided not to sell anything for more than $20. So- Our prices literally range from $8 to $20, and the dresses/blouses/shorts/purses are pretty much bomb. Go look, go look!
Namaste!
....and As always- Viva La Fashionista!
Avec Amour, Dave and Erica LPFashionPhilosophy (aka GlamSquad to the Max) :) kidding.
