The Ohio college boys had been playing together since summer 2006, but in January 2008 WALK THE MOON was born anew, with a renewed sense of self and a reawakened hunger for the future. Since honing their powerpop, retro-rock, raw-spirit sound with producer Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Elton John, Van Halen), W/M has released The Anthem EP, a product of the band’s vital sessions with Musper and a flash of what is soon to come. Meanwhile, W/M has gathered attention from FOX 19 News Cincinnati, CityBeat Magazine, and now CITY SHOWCASE – SPOTLIGHT LONDON, which sponsored WALK THE MOON to come play at the week-long festival-conference in London, UK in June 2008. Through worldwide promoter-artist network Sonicbids, CITY SHOWCASE reserved a single spot for an artist from North America to perform, and WALK THE MOON was the one band chosen for the opportunity!
