Walküre is a “power thrash” metal band from the York area. Dan Bergman (Drums), Michael Savel (Guitar), and Adam Sullivan (Bass) formed in late 2005 and played under the moniker “Requiem”. Later, due to an overabundance of other bands with the same name, they changed to the now Walküre. Aaron Wagner was then added to the line up taking care of vocal and 2nd guitar duties.
In late 2006 they found themselves in search of a new bass player due to the tragic passing of Adam Sullivan. They came across Scott Sinner, a bassist out of the Harrisburg area, and took him on as a new member. While rehearsing and doing shows in various venues throughout the York/PA area, they recorded a 2007/08 demo entitled “The Power”.
Walküre’s musical style is best described as a blend of power metal and thrash. Their sound reflects influences such as Helloween, King Diamond, Manowar, Megadeth, Testament, etc. With their hard work and instinct, the four individuals make Walküre a force to be reckoned with.
To the person below me, the set was in fact 20 minutes long. That is all that was allowed.
