国内外で活躍、先鋭派スチールパン奏者—町田良夫が、ポストフォーク・バンド—チンチのメンバーと結成したPOPなポストロックの突然変異！過去に大友良英、メタムキン、ジバン・ガスパリアン等が出演してきたセルビアの音楽祭「Ring Ring」で2003年に両者が共演して以来、温めていたアイディアをもとに、2006年春ベオグラードでレコーディング。
音響系--実験音楽のフィールドで活躍する町田良夫は、これまでSONAR TOKYO、ISEA2004、MAERZ MUSIK等、国内外の音楽祭に参加、ヨーロッパ・ツアーの際も度々セルビアを訪れ、ライブを行ってきた。
チンチは、ジョルジェ・イリッチ--ギター、ボーカル--とルカ・スタニサヴリェヴィッチ--ベース、ボーカル--、女性ボーカルのイレナ・ヴァニッチ、スルジャン・ストヤノヴィッチ--バイオリン--から成るセルビアのオルタナティブ・シーンを代表するバンドで、これまでアモルフォンから2枚のアルバムをリリース、鈴木惣一郎やS.レイモンド(コクトーツインズ)から賛辞されてきた。
本アルバムは、スティールパン、ギター、ベース、バイオリン、エレクトロニクスに、さわやかで透き通った癒し系男女のボーカルが特徴。美しいスチールパンのメロディー(tr1)、待ってる女の子の気持ちをユニークに歌った曲 (tr2)、月夜に活躍するヒーローの曲 (tr8)、バルカン民族音楽特有の11拍子にボコーダーを合わせた(tr9)、80年代のニューウェーブを彷彿とさせる(tr10)、おばあさんがおじいさんになってしまう?曲 (tr11)、など、センスが光る歌詞とサウンドが炸裂！ 8bit、アコースティック、エレクトロ、キッチュからオーケスオラル、グランジまで・・・ 音響、ポスト・ロック、エレクトロニカ、アンサンブルのジャンルをクロスオーバー、ハンネ・ヒュッケルバーグ、Peter, Bjorn & Johnやヨ・ラ・テンゴ、Leaf、Morr Music系のテイストにも通ずる、珠玉のアルバム！
A Japanese active steel panist / sound artist, Yoshio Machida & members of Cinc, a band leads Serbian alternative-scene, collaborates to play "fizzy" post-rock. So far they have played together for Ring Ring festival, etc. in Serbia. Then in Mar, 2006, they recorded some pieces based on the idea over several years. At last the their first album, "steal a spoon for you" will be out in June, 2007 from a Japanese label, Amorfon.
Modern & distinctive pieces, for example, beautiful melody (tr1), with kitschy 8bit sound (tr2), cosmic atmosphere (tr5), classical (tr7), orchestral & grunge (tr8), Balkan's 11 time with vocorder (tr9), reminiscent of New Wave (tr10)... with fresh male & female vocals on steel pan, guitar, bass, violin, drums and electronics. All pieces can be single-cut! The same sense with Peter, Bjorn and John, Yo La Tengo, Morr Music...
