Influences
many bands influenced us in making the music that we like. hearable may be the more emo and rockbands we like to listen to. to name any we`d say mineral, get up kids, last days of april or landmine spring.

WALLACE...kommen aus dem schönen Würzburg, und ein wenig dem Landstrich und deren Akts entsprechend klingen Ihre Songs ...Indie, Emo und Punk das sind Ihre Zutaten, gesanglich gibt es auf SIDEWALKS AND BICYCLES ebenfalls das ganze Tablett ...Geschreie, Gesinge, Spoken-Words, also für alle etwas dabei, der Drang zum Hinhören ist quasi gegeben!!! Als musikalische Vorbilder kann man durchaus Grossen wie FUGAZI und auch AT THE DRIVE IN nennen, Namen wie RENO KID, PALE oder YAGE fallen einem ebenfalls spontan ein. Sieben solide und verspielt eingespielte Songs, englisch und deutschsprachige Texte welche das Leben schreibt, nettes Artwork ...und aus persönlichen Erfahrungen kann ich sagen eine ausgesprochen nette Band!!! Das Album von WALLACE ist zwar schon seit einer Weile erhältlich, aber weshalb nicht nochmal ausdrücklich auf dieses Kleinod an Verschrobenheit und Poesie hinweisen? Die sieben Songs sind nämlich einzigartig in ihrer Kombination von Emocore, Posthardcore und disharmonischen Screamoelementen. Besonders die Arrangements lassen aufhorchen, da das Quintett überraschende Umbrüche präsentiert und gegenläufige Riffs zu einem stimmigen Ganzen formt. So haben die Lieder Melodie, aber doch einen recht störrischen und kautzigen Charakter, der sich auf Dauer in die Gehörgänge einnistet. "Northern Nurse" ist symptomatisch für die kleinen Geschichten, die hier erzählt werden und die Vocals passen sich dieser narrativen Herangehensweise an, indem oft beinahe lediglich gesprochen wird und nur in bedeutsamen Momenten von herkömmlichem Gesang die Rede sein kann. Diese Ungeschliffenheit macht "Sidewalks And Bicycles" erst richtig charmant und den Longplayer auf lange Sicht interessant. Wann gibt es Nachschub? (22:22) (7) Thomas Eberhardt

Wallace is rocking the scene for more then four years now, and since that time they are trying to spread their meaning of emotional hardcore and indierock across the world. calm dreamy guitarparts meet raging voiceeruptions and drifting songstructures. in the past three years Wallace played over 50 concerts in germany and austria and they shared the stage with bands like Standstill, Koufax, The 101, Enliven, Baal, Lockjaw, Always Outnumbered or the lovely Minnie..s from Italy. be prepared when the Wallace rockmachine is coming to your town, because they play fast and hard and leave the stage burning behind them.
