Q: When/where did you guys meet?
A: April 24, 2006. Menswear department at Macy’s. No lie.
Q: How would you describe your music?
A: Red with puke green flashes.
Q: You guys seem to have different backgrounds (Reigning Sound, Panther Burns, Vending Machine, Gun Club, Big Ass Truck, Pump Action Retards et al). Is there anything you all agree on musically?
A: Randy Van Warmer and Dean Friedman.
Q: Jeremy, what inspires you as a songwriter?
A: Bicameral legislation, teenage prostitution and Chewy Spree.
Q: So you’re in the studio now? How is that going?
A: Pretty OK. At first we just started showing up at Rocket Science for the sole purpose of annoying Kyle, but decided to actually “put some things down,” as musician types say. So far, the carnage includes four frogs, two praying mantises and Steve’s imaginary armadillo, Akbar. Oh yeah, and we’re progressing nicely on a full-length.
Q: Grayson, what is your outlook on life?
A: I don’t really like white people.
Q: When are you planning to tour?
A: We’ll have to see. It would kind of depend on when we can collectively get out of the witness protection program. Nobody knows the troubles we’ve seen. . .By the way, we cannot tell you our real names.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to add?
A: Shoes For Industry!
Most of you Memphis folks know and love our good buddy Don Perry, photographer extraordinaire. Well, next Friday, 2/27, Don will be having a photo show at the Hi-Tone, and we'll be playing. I think the doors will open around 8 and you can come and check out Don's amazing pics, and even buy some of it. Don is doing really great work around town, documenting the music scene and the city of Memphis itself.
As usual, there's no opener. We'll start up around 10-ish, but get there before that so you can enjoy Don's photos without a couple of Fenders squawling in your ears.
The cover is - you guessed it - five bucks. See ya there!

The most fulfilling time of my life was spent in-studio with the Wallendas. And, Jeremy, that stain'll come right out with a little witch hazel...sorry about that.
