Waller World Wide, Inc. is an entertainment/ media company that produces films, events, and on-line programming, as well as provides production services for events, engages in talent acquisition, drafting proposals, consultant and writing services, and media training.
A native of New Jersey, Curtis has lived in both New York City, and different areas of New Jersey his entire life. His beginnings in the entertainment industry were at Inner City Broadcasting, the helm corporation for WBLS Radio, NY. He began at WBLS in 1987 as an intern, departing in 1993 as its Music Director. That year, he was honored by Billboard magazine as a nominee for Music Director of the Year, for the urban radio format in the New York area. Following his tenure at WBLS, Curtis then worked at East/West Records for a brief stint, moving on to All American/ Scotti Brothers Records. There he worked with, and among such talents as the legendary James Brown, and the very eccentric Weird Al Yancovic. He returned to radio in 1995 working in syndication. His first endeavor was as an Affiliate Relations manager for SJS Entertainment. There he managed all the urban radio properties across the US, providing them with an up-to-the-minute entertainment news wire, featuring information about music’s most popular artists and Hollywood celebrities. In 1996, Curtis took on production duties with MJI Broadcasting, where he launched a national urban radio service titled The Urban Fax. After three years, he took on similar duties for Launch Media a.k.a. Launch.Com. While at MJI, Waller traveled to Japan three times as the manager for DJ Tony Vaughn, where they entertained and hosted galas in Tokyo and Osaka. In the year 2000 Curtis took on duties as a writer and producer for MTV Networks’ radio division. There he oversaw daily show prep services for alternative rock, pop, urban, and CHR formats, which serviced three-hundred-plus radio stations around the country. In addition, as part of the MTV News staff, Curtis interacted with all aspects of the MTV Network, including the on-line department and MTV television.
Departing from MTV in 2005, Curtis began Waller World Wide, Inc. in May of 2006. He is now a liaison for providing entertainment in various parts of Africa and Europe, and an independent filmmaker. He's also the Vice-President of RHM Management - for more, Google Curtis Waller, MTV to view archived stories he contributed to during his tenure with Viacom.
