The wallscenery demos is a guitar driven project that dabbles in spaced-out soundtracks as well as indie folk pop. Formed by James Hicken, The 1st WSD album was released independently in march 2008. The record is self produced, designed, recorded, manufactured, and floats from beginning to end.
The WSD are heavily influenced by the likes of Guided By Voices, Lee Perry, Al Tuck, Mogwai, Galaxie 500, madlib, Neil Young, BJM, radiohead and many others spanning genres and decades.... The album includes contributions from the members of northwest division and Michael "Rosie" Rosenthal (supergarage, Sunparlour players, hugh & rosie, Parkdale Revolutionary Orchestra).
